EKKI HUGSA 360°

With “Ekki Hugsa 360°”, Icelandic musician Ólafur Arnalds and Berlin-based designer Torsten Posselt have created an audio-visual experience centred on the principle of slowing down and taking it easy. “Ekki hugsa” is Icelandic and means “don’t think”. This was a written note passed to Arnalds from an actor as part of an interactive theatre performance when Arnalds was going through a difficult period. He’s kept the note ever since. Arnalds and Posselt have been working together for several years now. They fully merge their two worlds, the acoustic and the visual, and explore ways of making music tangible in physical space. The goal is to create a meditative atmosphere that allows the audience to let go and to be fully present in the moment. “We invite the audience on a slow journey into not thinking”, Posselt says.
