Lübeck Meetings
The Lübeck Meetings summarize all the events that we and our partners offer during the Nordic Film Days Lübeck for our industry guests from Germany and abroad.
In Lübeck, German, Nordic and Baltic filmmakers and industry delegates not only have the opportunity to see films, but also to make new contacts with potential partners. Events on current developments in the industry, this year supplemented by the second edition of FUTURE NORTH, our program for young directors, invite you to network in the familiar and informal atmosphere of the festival.
We offer German industry guests from distribution, TV and rights acquisition the opportunity to discover films from the festival program for the German market: with privileged access to the festival screenings, where they can experience the films together with the Lübeck audience - an opportunity that many particularly appreciate. Interested industry representatives who cannot make it to the festival in Lübeck also have the opportunity to view the films at home. In this way, we also want to support our films on their way to widespread exploitation in Germany in 2024.
The complete Lübeck Meetings program is available HERE and you can also find our brochure HERE
This year also marks the 11th edition of the Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium, once again hosted by the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema as part of our festival. The full programme can be found HERE
FUTURE NORTH
The new programme to foster young talent brings six directors from the Baltic countries, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Schleswig-Holstein to Lübeck. Each of the directors from these often-underrepresented regions of northern Europe will show a clip from the project they are currently working on, and receive feedback and constructive criticism from industry experts and the audience.
