Whenever Signe goes out with her boyfriend Thomas, he steals the show from her with his anecdotes. At home, Thomas is concerned only with himself and his art. As he is giving a speech at the opening of his art exhibition, she pretends to have an allergic reaction. The young woman begins an increasingly extreme and desperate battle for attention. She defaces her body and uses it as a weapon. In an absurdly droll tone, the film explores the obsession with attention in the age of social media and, in the guise of the popular body-horror genre, reflects on topics such as narcissism, contemporary art or commercial exploitation of physical infirmity. Signe's fantasies become a new identity; she becomes a celebrated star and the centre of her circle of friends. But the reality is different. A young woman loses herself in the images she creates, and embarks on a search for her lost self.
