Tsumu – Where Do You Go With Your Dreams?

“Tsumu” is a Tunumiit word that means something like “where should we go?” Lars, Eino, and Thomas are teenagers who live in Tasiilaq, a town on the eastern coast of Greenland, where society is reeling from the rapid changes brought by colonisation and modernisation. This expresses itself in alcoholism, violence, and a high suicide rate. In this powerful and empathetic documentary, Kiertzner delves into the fears and dreams of three young men who are using their theatre group to search for a way of expressing something that is difficult to put into words. Should they leave and go their own ways, or stay out of worry for their friends and families?
