At the end of the school year, a twelve-year-old girl receives an extraordinary gift from her teacher – a trip to the north. On two temporal levels – as a twelve-year-old and as an adult – she tries to re-examine the experience. But the events remain elusive and fragmentary. Experience and memory are like a puzzle, the pieces of which do not want to fit together.
