Festival Kick-off With Good Friends

What would a festival be without good friends? Since 1998, the Nordic and Baltic cinema enthusiasts of the Friends of the Nordic Film Days society have been dedicated supporters of the festival; since 2006 as a registered booster club. The society is itself very much a part of festival life. The Friends society endows the 7,500-euro prize for best narrative feature debut, as well as making up the jury that decides which film will receive it. It is a commitment that combines a passion for film with active support for the festival.
To kick-off the festival, the Friends society will have a stand in the foyer of the CineStar Stadthalle cinema. Visitors can stop by to meet members and chat about the festival. Which films are a must-see? What special treats are hidden in the programme? And how do you make the most of your festival day? The Friends will share personal recommendations and experiences, and answer questions, as they enjoy interacting with new and veteran festival visitors.
