Eve the bear is little and anxious. Instead of standing up to the wolves, she runs away. To comfort her, her mother tells her thrilling stories from the history of life here on Earth. Eve learns from them that even the smallest of creatures have special strengths they can use to defeat the biggest creatures. As Eve listens entranced to her mom's stories, she wonders where her strengths might lie.
