Sundruð / Hold It Together
Young Audience, Iceland / France / Belgium 2026, 12 Min., icel., fr. OV, ger. st, FSK 0, 16 years and older
Nema, a young Black immigrant in Iceland, feels both exposed and invisible when she goes to the swimming pool. Her response to the judgemental stares and reactions is the urge to literally dissolve into thin air – until she stands up for herself. "Hold It Together" renders Nema’s sadness and loneliness in delicate, flowing images, and provides us with the unifying realisation that we're all simply here.
