Jenny – en historie om Lydmor / Jenny – A Story on Lydmor

When the singer-songwriter Jenny Rossander, known as Lydmor, takes to the stage, she shares her soul with the audience. In one scene in this film, she thinks out loud about why she devotes so much of her work to issues of her own life. Her conclusion is that only within herself does she have full access to the deepest human emotions that she needs for the creative process. That principle guides her as she works on the album she is recording in an idyllic studio directly by the sea, accompanied by her boyfriend, the filmmaker. It also motivated her decision a few years later to write a book about an abusive relationship she had. Over the course of five years, as her career takes off, the film follows Jenny Rossander to concerts and interviews, as well as in private and during creative moments at home. The result is an intimate portrait of an artist between crises and creativity.
