Full of twists and turns, it is an investigation into the illegal trade in horses. Through interconnected stories of ordinary people – a veterinarian, a bank manager, a journalist - we see how that illicit activity can reverberate through society. This character-driven crime drama explores very topical issues such as animal welfare, the international food trade, and money laundering. Which of these ordinary people will re-connect with their integrity while under pressure? "Transport" has been nominated for the prestigious Prix Europa and Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize. The show’s creator, Auli Mantila, is also a part-time farrier, intimately familiar with the world of horse trading.
