Death and life, desire and love, war and peace. Roam the dream rooms of the exhibition that showcases the timeless issues and conflicts in Thomas Mann’s renowned novel and links them to the present day. It is not only today’s political sphere that mirrors the world of the book written one hundred years ago. The exhibitions draws parallels in other areas, for instance how we treat illness, or put health above all else, or why people in crisis increasingly react by escaping reality.
The curator and director of Buddenbrook House, Dr Caren Heuer, will lead the tour through the exhibition at St. Annen-Museum.
