Schleswig-Holstein – A Creative Hub Between Costs

Filmwirtschaft zwischen den Küsten – Potenziale in Schleswig-Holstein / Schleswig-Holstein – A Creative Hub Between Costs

Lübeck Meetings

This discussion explores the conditions needed for creative professionals in the film and media industries to thrive. The focus is less on financial incentives and more on the infrastructure that allows creatives to establish themselves in a location. The key question is how Schleswig-Holstein can position itself as an attractive destination without directly competing with the resources of larger metropolitan areas such as Hamburg. Examples such as the Lübeck Script Development Grant and the MOIN Film Fund‘s NEST programme show how cultural incentives can be a decisive factor in a region‘s attractiveness. The event is open to accredited festival guests, industry representatives, and interested members of the public from Lübeck and the surrounding area and will be held in German.
