Though Christmas is just around the corner, our animal heroes still have a lot to do. The brave stork and the clever fox are trying to save Santa's house, which is drifting out to sea on an ice floe. On the farm, the rooster has a terrible cold; this means young chick Civciv has to prove himself to save the festivities in the henhouse. Tanuki, a magical creature, is rescued by two siblings; there‘s a fight in the taiga over the very last Christmas tree; and in the far north, the little lynx overcomes his terrible fear so he can catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights up on the mountain. Five magical adventures take us around the world, from Germany to Japan to the North Pole. The magic of Christmas knows no bounds! The wintry stories in this omnibus film come from five international filmmakers who bring myths and fables to life in varying animation styles, thus providing insight into the creative versatility of animation.
