Nord bei Nordwest – Das Nolden-Haus

Filmforum, Germany 2024, 89 Min., ger. OV, ger. st

Schwanitz is haunted! Or at least very strange things are going on in the deserted Nolden House. Years ago, grief-stricken Inge Nolden hanged herself there when her husband left her and simply disappeared. As for the new tenant, she's also found hanged in the attic after her first night in the house — a death predicted by a medium during a séance. Now Mr Töteberg and Mrs Bleckmann are not the only ones convinced that something supernatural is involved. Hauke Jacobs and Hannah Wagner try to get to the bottom of the mystery, but things prove more complicated than expected. Could the ghost of Inge Nolden actually be haunting the house? What exactly happened back then, and what's the deal with the missing husband?
The new episode of the popular Baltic Sea crime series is staged with its usual charm and a well-oiled ensemble — and alongside a lot of humour and heart, it brings creepy chills to Schwanitz.
