At a small farm in Delve in Germany’s far north, Werner Marx and his 25 cows are a winning team. He’s written down all their names in a small notebook. They’re milked on the meadow in spring and summer, in a milking parlour blown crooked by the wind far out on the dike. The farm and its machines are old and Marx is thinking about retiring. He’s worked here all his life. A last visit.
