Brīnumskapis / The Magic Wardrobe

While playing hide-and-seek two children find a magic wardrobe that leads them – knock knock – to an enchanted forest. Accompanied by the airy notes of a children’s song, we encounter all kinds of animals and magical creatures. Household objects come to life and act as fantastical escorts. In five musical episodes, we tag along with different young protagonists on short, self-contained adventures. We fight lightning and thunder with a Supermama, entice tiny dust fairies to come out of the clothes closet, let raisin-bees fly and zoom with them through the kitchen, and create miraculous creatures with a young wizard while tidying up. We discover exciting worlds teeming with crazy creatures, and survive encounters with crocodiles, dragons, and ghosts. And at the end of each episode, we return to the safety of our familiar environment, full of inspiration and a little bit more daring and ready to face the world with curiosity and creativity. Along with the film there will be interactive activities for audiences.
