Multi-media Event by the Urban Projection Collective at the Zur Alten Stadtmauer Hotel
Lübeck hotel Zur alten Stadtmauer opens its doors and presents a unique multi-media installation that will extend throughout all the buildings storeys. Video and audio installations produced specifically for the event make hidden history visible. The focus is former hotel guests who had to
leave their homeland for various reasons and for whom this locale was the beginning of a new chapter in their life. Sometimes sprawling and dynamic, sometimes in the shape of small, mysterious discovered objects, the displays tell the story of people from Syria, Ukraine, Brazil, Austria, Afghanistan, or Holland and found their first port of call at this hotel in the old town. The exhibition is a fascinating and touching homage to the hotel family and the people who found a kind of new home base here. Their stories bear witness to humanity, tolerance, and empathy.
