Opus 136 "Vertical Sequence"
Immersion 360°, Denmark / USA 1940, 10 Min., no dialogue
With his light symphonies, which he presented as projections with what he called the Clavilux, Thomas Wilfred created a new art form. “Opus 136”, one of his first compositions, is made up of a frosted screen and a mechanism with moveable electric lamps, mirrors, and colour wheels. Using the newest camera technology, the composition was filmed and adapted for the InfinityDome.
