Rosa is a shy flower fairy who has been living alone in her rose bush. Too shy to look for a friend herself, without being asked she is engaged to a mouse who has been unable to find a partner. But then Silk, a bold and joyful butterfly, liberates Rosa from her seemingly predestined fate and introduces her to the fascinating and wonderful world beyond her rose bush. When Silk disappears, everyone is afraid she may have become a prisoner of the sinister stone troll, who turns other creatures to stone so that they will be her “friends”. Rosa has to overcome her fears and find allies willing to help her to save Silk. After surmounting the adventure, Rosa has learned that true friendship cannot be forced and that being alone is not the same as being lonely.
