Ida and Eskild are a happy couple who have just moved in together. When Ida becomes pregnant, Eskild is thrilled but Ida isn’t entirely sure what she wants. Afraid of losing him, she keeps her doubts to herself and secretly decides to have an abortion. The film tenderly examines how a relationship can fall apart due to differing needs and expectations.
