Ingen kender dagen / A Matter of Trust
Narrative Features, Denmark 2022, 105 Min., dan. OV, engl. st
The pregnant Maja suddenly sees the father of her child with new eyes. Upon discovering his sexuality, the student Emil begins provoking his teacher. Doctor Eva is confronted by a moral dilemma when she has to accompany a refugee, whose asylum application has been rejected, on his repatriation flight. The situation escalates when Laura is underway in the country with her unstable mother, who does not give the girl a sense of being protected. And Adam, who is lying his way through life, must finally face the truth. The film artfully interweaves the narratives of five people who never cross paths but go through similar experiences on a beautiful, late-summer day. Each episode has a dramatic, absurd, or surprising tenor all of its own. And at the heart of it all, the constant question of trust – what happens when that feeling is abused, betrayed, or exploited? Or when you no longer trust yourself anymore?
