Films for young viewers, Norway 2010, 78 Min., German commentary, 6 years and older
Essentially, ships are but market participants, is what one is inclined to sigh when considering the difficult situation of this small fishing fleetin northern Norway: If the yslightly aged cutters don't succeed in catching enough fish this winter, their harbour will be closed down. Not only the old warehouses are saddened, but Elias the little lifesaver boat, is also worried. And when he accompanies the fleet to sea, he makes a sinister discovery. A whole armada of ultra-modern trawlers is catching all the fish right under the noses of the scrubby cutters! The evil polar queen is behind this unrelenting exploitation of the seas. But most of all she has her mind set on finding a sunken treasure, and she believes that Elias knows where it is. The treasure could actually help sanitize the fishing fleet, so Elias does all he can to find it. The second adventure of this amicable little lifeboat once again features characters with a hand's breadth of water under their keels, making it as entertaining as its predecessor of 2007
