A mysterious gang of musicians terrorizes a major Swedish city by giving concerts in the most venturous places – and playing on just about everything but ordinary instruments: In a hospital they play drums on patients and evoke melodies from the bleeps of medical technology. They unleash a stomping concert in front of the opera-house using excavators, pneumatic drills and bulldozers. Police officer Warnebring, the only unmusical child in a family of famous musicians, is put in charge of the case and tracks down the "Metronome Gang". This wonderful, bizarre comedy by directors Ola Simonsson and Johannes Stjärne Nilsson is brimming with original image and sound ideas and has been brilliantly staged. It is based on the short film "Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers", which was awarded countless prizes at more than 20 festivals in 2001. For their feature film, Simonsson and Nilsson have successfully exaggerated the basic idea of diverting everyday objects from their intended use and turning them into musical instruments to create anarchy.
