Vegas

Thomas comes from a shattered family, in which his father brutally abuses his mother. Marianna is an orphan, and by no means a "poor orphan", but an aggressive, beautiful girl, very conscious of her feminine charms and full of destructive potential. And Terje? Terje has – to put it bluntly – his mother's death to answer for, and has been severly disturbed since. The three of them meet in a home for young persons at risk. They would like nothing better than to return to their families, but for various reasons, they are not permitted. So they form something of a substitute family amongst themselves, and find a sort of refuge in a run-down flat in a condemned house. But even here a catastrophe happens ... Gunnar Vikene's film is bursting with visual power in its portrayal of three members of a "rejected generation" that see Las Vegas as a key for unattainable happiness. The intense acting by the three young stars is simply overwhelming, every look, every gesture an indication of monstrous inner dramas.
