Roberto has a dream: for him and his puppets to participate in a festival in Norway. The hope that he and his puppets might be invited to Oslo was inspired by his meeting a festival manager a few years earlier, and soon becomes an idée fixe. His family, however, begins to doubt his sanity. They don't realize that he keeps a second set of puppets hidden in a run-down shed, into which he incorporated his late wife Olga's blood and hair. For her, Roberto invents scenes that he only plays in secret and to himself. When his financial situation grows worse and he discovers that his letters had never been sent to Oslo, he sells off his official puppets to an antiques dealer in a sense of desperation. But then the Norwegian suddelny appears on his doorstep. Wolf Hermsen is known for his documentaries. Here, he has shot his feature film against the fascinating backdrop
of Havana and starring two of Cuba‘s most famous actors.
