Geirr, 33, likes “Apocalypse Now”, high-calibre revolvers and similar-sized joints. There is a poster of “Man in Black” Johnny Cash on his wall, and, correspondingly, Geirr perceives the rest of the world in the darkest light. Because Geirr is paraplegic as the result of a car crash and is now dependent on a wheelchair. The fact that he has not yet committed suicide is thanks only to the devoted care by his wife Ingvild. But she can no longer bear his nasty moods and sends him to a group of disabled who show exemplary “positive” reactions to their fate. But no sooner have they accessed Geirr’s house against his will, than he aggressively lays into them. Not only parts of the interior decoration are destroyed in the turbulent course of an evening – some of the lies lived by the disabled people and their hypocritical therapist are caused to collapse. Expressly conceived as a “feel-bad movie”, this slightly different disabled comedy convinces thanks to its brilliant ensemble acting and its pitch-black humour.
