Act Normal

When Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space, there was a little boy called Robert T. Edison who used to gaze at the stars, never imagining that one day in the distant future his enthusiasm for space travel would lead to a life-changing decision. Robert T. Edison grew up in Nottingham, and was attracted to Buddhism at an early age. On the advice of his teacher, Robert sought spiritual guidance in a monastery in Thailand, where he spent ten years before moving to Iceland and working there with a community of Thai Buddhists. Then, in the year 2000, his quiet monastic life took a very different turn. Eager to visit the place from which Gagarin had been launched into space, Robert set out for Kazakhstan, where he met a rocket engineer – and fell in love with her. He asked her to marry him and come to Iceland with him. Which she did. After 16 years as a monk, Robert T. Edison returned to the “normal” world. And this is where the problems begin…
