The young girl aspires to become one of the monster agents. But the more she finds out about Frankenstein creations, werewolves, and vampires, the more she starts to wonder who exactly needs protecting from whom. Amanda Adolfsson’s adaptation of the successful book series by Martin Widmark is a family movie, in which the line between laughing out loud and being creeped out is very thin. In the end, the real horror is revealed as a world in which the price of happiness is conformity.
