After highly-motivated Hrefna hires on as an aide to Iceland’s newly-elected prime minister Benedikt Rikhardsson, she quickly realises that he suffers from bipolar disorder. To keep her job, Hrefna has to hide her boss’s illness from the public and anticipate the unforeseeable, so she can try and avert it. When Benedikt stops taking his medication, his manic side gains the upper hand. With the speed only mania can produce, he starts making erratic decisions that make his staff’s life extremely difficult. Hrefna had to find a way to deal with a boss who first needs to be protected from himself, without him or the public noticing – all while keeping her own nose clean.
