David is 16 and, despite his diabetes, passionate about ice hockey. When he and his parents move to Zlín, he joins the Wolves on the ice. But as a newcomer and an outsider, he is brutally bullied by his teammates. His ambitious father, who dreams of his son switching to the top team, the Rams, manipulates the coach to force him to put David in as goalie – which doesn’t help the youngster’s situation with the rest of the team. On top of everything, David’s girlfriend Carol breaks up with him and starts hanging with his most serious rival, the regular goalie Miky. David is on the verge of giving up … In disquieting scenes, the film depicts what it’s like to be exposed to a pack of jealous “comrades”. Director Tomáš Polensk‎‎ý says, "Bullying is usually talked about only in connection with the education system. However, I know from my own experience that youth sports teams are full of it, and it is often much more brutal than bullying in schools”.
