Øyvind, a dancer in his mid-20s, lives in Norway. He hasn't had any contact with his father for 20 years. Now, however, Erling has invited Øyvind to visit him in Denmark. At their small remote farmhouse, Øyvind quickly establishes a connection with Erling's new partner Karin, while his father, surprisingly, distances himself. But then the older man is forced to confront the past.
