An audio cassette found at a flea market provides an anachronistic travel guide. Following the northern German's austere, recorded descriptions of a long-ago trip, the filmmaker goes to the same, and some new places to draw of picture of contemporary New York as reflected in the past – whereby it always has to do with the image-maker herself as well.
