Filmforum, Germany 2014, 87 Min.

Israeli Noa has been studying in Berlin for eight years. She’ll soon turn 30 and has just moved in with her boyfriend Jörg. But Noa is still uncomfortable in her own skin and has the feeling she hasn’t yet found her place in life. To top it off, her thesis proposal – a dictionary of untranslatable words – has been rejected as inadequate. So Noa makes a spontaneous decision to fly home and get away from it all. Once back in Israel, she reverts to the role of a rebellious teenager who argues with her parents constantly. When her worried boyfriend shows up, as luck would have it on Israel’s national day of remembrance, Noa is forced to recognise that changing personas doesn’t achieve anything. But what do you do when you’ve always just sloughed off each role like a sweater that no longer fits?
