In the 1960s, Club 7 was the centre of Oslo’s nightlife and counter-culture. It became the symbol of an intellectual awakening and of the struggle against conformity. By the mid-1980s, the club was ruined financially and had to close its doors. Using associative montage techniques, the film explores a cultural institution and its motto: continual improvisation.
