Competition Documentaries, Denmark / Norway 2013, 87 Min., engl. ST

Victor, Martine and Marino have all been diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). They have been classified together medically and evaluated as all having the same set of symptoms. The reality is that they are all very different. Victor is disturbed by those four letters – ADHD. He thinks they have caused his clubfoot, and he hides under a table when he hears them. Martine thinks everything is against her, becomes afraid, and quickly retreats within herself. Marino’s uncontrollable anger is on a hair trigger, and he lets it loose on everything around him. All three are in the same elementary school class in Copenhagen, where their teacher and their parents conduct an experiment. Instead of medication, they use therapy which has been individually tailored to the needs and abilities of each child. The remarkable results speak for themselves.
