They could hardly be more different, yet their paths cross; Ingrid has recently gone blind. She remembers the way her familiar surroundings look, but the images in her head are becoming darker. Is her husband really going to work in the morning, like he says he is? Or is he staying in the apartment, secretly avoiding his wife? Is he typing emails to his colleagues or to a lover? Morten’s old friend Einar is a cultural enthusiast; he treasures film and music. Yet he wastes time watching porn videos on the Internet and observing a Swedish woman who lives in an apartment on the other side of the street. Elin has just gone through a divorce, and has lost her entire social environment. When something inexplicable happens, she can only turn to her ten-year-old daughter. And isn’t she being watched by somebody on the other side of the street?
