Aikuisten poika

Aikuisten poikaEin Junge steht Kopf / Boy Upside Down

Competition Narrative Films, Finland 2014, 93 Min.

Though Oliver is only 11 years old, he knows exactly what he wants. After his parents' death in an auto accident, he keeps sadness at bay by trying to find out whether his father was driving too fast. Even his grandmother can't keep him from pursuing the truth. As he persists, he meets Joonas, with whom he forms a friendship. Jaakko and Rafu, who run a cinema near the scene of the accident, also become his confidantes. The plan is for Joonas, who is having a relationship with married Katri, to help Oliver discover the truth and examine the police report. As luck would have it, Katri's son Eetu plays on Oliver's football team, making the group‘s relationship even tighter. That is, until Katri's husband Mikael turns up, confusing everything and leading Oliver to gradually lose control of the situation. A warm-hearted, lively dramedy that demonstrates how life carries on.
