The film is divided into nine chapters, in which Charlotte Rampling encounters old friends and companions, including Peter Lindbergh, Paul Auster and Juergen Teller, with all of whom she speaks about age, beauty, taboos, desire, death and love. Seldom does a star speak as cleverly and casually albeit insistently about topics that concern us all. And director Angelina Maccarone has succeeded in creating a portrait of her idol without idealising her - a magnificent, authentic self-portrait.
