Karla og Jonas

13-year old Karla cannot forget Jonas, her flirt from the last summer holidays. Encouraged by her best friend Katrine, Karla sets out to find Jonas, who lives without his parents in a foster home. Initially the boy reacts in a reserved manner, but then he is very happy about Karla's visit. When the clever girl discovers that Jonas' biological mother is still alive, she is inspired by a TV show in which missing persons are sought out. Finally she and Jonas travel to the capital city of Århus to find his long-lost mother. As in the preceding films "Karla's World" and "Karla and Katrine", director Charlotte Sachs Bostrup once again succeeds in interlinking problematic subjects with fast-paced family entertainment. "Karla & Jonas" is about first love, broken families and social ills. At the same time the film is very entertaining, featuring lively young actors, a witty script and a hip, young imagery. "Karla & Jonas" was a great hit in Danish cinemas last summer.
