A ransom of three million! Four young people come up with a foolproof plan. They kidnap themselves and sail away to the sleepy North Sea island of Meerscheid, where local policeman Ludger keeps an eye on things. But maybe not for long – the island’s lack of crime means he is soon to be made redundant. So Ludger decides to create a case of his own – just when the young criminals are about to claim their ransom. Things get serious when the first body is found in the mud flats.
