Little Jim has no easy time of it. His single mother suffers anxiety attacks and never leaves the house. Jim is bullied at school. Another problem is “Pitbullterje”. Jim’s new classmate Terje is overweight and aggressive. When he isn’t threatening murder, he’s threatening to unleash his pitbull. Terje wants to be Jim’s best friend – but that would really make Jim a complete outsider. Unfortunately, Terje, who is actually very sensitive, makes friends with Jim’s mother …“Pitbullterje” is a comic romp with serious undertones. The film eloquently touches on the themes of friendship and loyalty, human strengths and weaknesses, while at the same time melding everyday problems with the world of the imagination – which is where Jim seeks solace whenever he can’t cope. In his imagination, he becomes the radiant hero of a carefree Playmobil world – portrayed in witty animation in this charming film.
