Dina Lacare and Janis Makovskis are artists. Both were actors. Until Janis fell from a roof and injured his spine in 1992. He has been wheelchair bound ever since and needs assistance with almost everything. His career came to an abrupt end, and so did Dina’s. She left the theatre to care for her husband. They have moved to the country, where Dina makes wooden toys and Janis helps her. This film shows how two people cope with a heavy blow of fate. It is thanks to Dina that Janis copes at all.
