BJF-Seminar for Children's and Youth Films

Since 1979 the Children- und Youth Film Programm section features an accompanying seminar programme for the multipliers of children's and youth film work. The accompanying BJF-Seminar offers an opportunity for viewing and discussing selected children's and youth films from Scandinavia and the Baltic region in the presence of media-pedagogical experts. Furthermore, discussion round tables on individual films take place with filmmakers, children and adolescents.
Lectures and workshops are dedicated to selected topics of Nordic children's and youth filmmaking. Towards the end of the festival, participants of the accompanying BJF-Seminar regularly make commendations which German distributors and media pedagogues have been highly appreciative of throughout the past 30 years and which have a deciding influence on the reception of Scandinavian and Baltic children's and youth films in Germany.
