5th Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium

This year for the fifth time, the “Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium” will be held in collaboration with the “Journal of Scandinavian Cinema” and the Retrospective of the Nordic Film Days. This year's topics relate both to the 60th Nordische Filmtage Lübeck’s Retrospective “BALTIC TRANSFER – The Baltic Sea and Northern Harbours on Film” and to the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema’s forthcoming special issue on Espionage activities in the Nordic countries. In addition to this, the colloquium will include topics such as social criticism in film and television, as well as panel discussions with invited guests of the 60th Nordische Filmtage Lübeck.

In addition, seminar groups and panel discussions with selected Nordic Film Days guests will be dedicated to talking about current issues in modern cinema. The colloquium is organized in cooperation with the “Journal of Scandinavian Cinema” and is directed at (film) students and people interested in film history. The journal's editor Anders Marklund, senior lecturer at Lund University, will be joined by other speakers.
