filmFEST feiert mit finnischem Schwerpunkt / filmFEST celebrates with a Finnish focus
Mit einer stimmungsvollen Eröffnungsparty in der Lübecker Musik- und Kongreßhalle (MuK) starten nach dem Eröffnungsfilm im CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle am Donnerstag, 4. November 2004, die 46. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck. Auf dem filmFEST im Foyer der MuK erwarten Filmtagefans, Cineasten, Filmschaffende und Gäste aus Kultur, Politik und Wirtschaft u.a. internationale Tanzmusik der finnischen Live-Band Sea Journey aus Lübecks Partnerstadt Kotka sowie eine Show zu finnischer Tangomusik. Einlass ist ab 21.00 Uhr. Karten gibt es bei Tips & Tickets, Willy-Brandt-Allee 10, Tel. 0451-79 04-400 und an den bekannten Vorverkaufsstellen, für Akkreditierte am Infostand im CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle.

The opening gala party will be held on Thursday, November 4th, 10 pm (doors open at 9 pm) after the opening film of the 46th Nordic Film Days Lübeck. Film fans, filmmakers, industry professionals and guests from the fields of the arts, politics and business will meet at the party in the foyer of the Music and Congress Hall (MuK). The filmFEST features Finnish tango music with the band Sea Journey from Lübeck's Finnish twin town Kotka. Tickets are available from Tips & Tickets, Willy-Brandt-Allee 10, Telephone 0451-79 04-400 and the usual ticket offices, for accredited guests at the CineStar Info Counter.

filmFEST-Gästen wird ein kostenloser Shuttlebus zwischen dem CineStar Filmpalast und der Musik- und Kongresshalle von 21.15 Uhr bis 21.45 Uhr angeboten.

The Nordic Film Days Lübeck offer a free shuttle for guests of the filmFEST from CineStar Filmpalast to the Music and Congress Hall between 9.15 pm and 9.45 pm.

Tägliche Sendungen / Radio Reports on Offener Kanal
Die "Filmriss"-Redaktion des Offenen Kanals Lübeck berichtet live aus dem Foyer des CineStar Filmpalasts Stadthalle mit Interviews und Informationen: Do, 4.11., von 16.00 bis 18.00 Uhr und Fr - So, 5.-7.11., jeweils von 15.00 bis 18.00 Uhr. Eine Jugendredaktion wird über die Kinder- und Jugendfilme berichten. (Offener Kanal Lübeck, 98,8 MHz über Antenne, 106,5 MHz im Kabelnetz Lübeck, 104,85 MHz im Kabelnetz Bad Segeberg, 102,3 MHz in Kabelnetzen im Lauenburgischen)

The "Filmriss" staff of public radio "Offener Kanal" will be reporting live from the foyer of the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle on Thursday, 4 Nov., 4 pm to 6 pm, and Friday to Sunday, 5-7 Nov., 3 pm to 6 pm. A special children's team will cover children's and youth films. 26. Medienpädagogisches Begleitseminar / 26th Congress for Media Education Experts
Zum Kinder- und Jugendprogramm der 46. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck veranstalten der Bundesverband Jugend und Film, die Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Jugend und Film Schleswig-Holstein und das Kommunale Kino Lübeck wieder ein Begleitseminar. Es bietet Medienpädagogen sowie Kinder- und Jugendkinoveranstaltern die Gelegenheit, neue Filme zu sichten und zu diskutieren sowie Empfehlungen auszusprechen. At the 46th Nordic Film Days Lübeck, the Bundesverband Jugend und Film, the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Jugend und Film Schleswig-Holstein and the Kommunales Kino Lübeck are once again organizing a seminar which will offer media educators and operators of children's and youth cinema events an opportunity to view and discuss new films and make recommendations. Island - Heimat des Heimatfilms / Iceland - Home of the Heimatfilm
Den 25. Geburtstag der isländischen Filmindustrie nehmen die MSH, Gesellschaft zur Förderung audiovisueller Werke in Schleswig-Holstein mbH, und der Schleswig-Holsteinische Heimatbund zum Anlass für ein Seminar, das dem Geheimnis des isländischen Filmwunders auf den Grund gehen und das Verhältnis der Isländer zur "Heimat" untersuchen will. Es findet am Samstag, 6. November, in der Zeit von 13.30 bis 16.30 Uhr im CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle, Kino 4, statt. Masterclass mit Stefan Jarl / Master Class with Stefan Jarl
Im Rahmen der Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck wird der schwedische Dokumentarist Stefan Jarl, dem das Festival eine Hommage gewidmet hat, eine Masterclass für Dokumentarfilmschaffende und Studierende halten. Organisiert wird die Veranstaltung, die am Freitag, 5. November, in der Zeit von 14.30 bis 19.00 Uhr im Kommunalen Kino stattfindet, von der Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Dokumentarfilmschaffenden AG DOK mit Unterstützung der MSH. Swedish documentary filmmaker Stefan Jarl, honoured this year by the Nordic Film Days Lübeck with a homage, will hold a Master Class for documentary filmmakers and students on Friday, 5 Nov., 2.30 - 7 pm in the Kommunales Kino. MEDIA Desk Germany wird zu seinem alljährlichen Koproduktionstreffen Produzenten zum Erfahrungsaustausch einladen und über internationale Koproduktionen informieren.

MEDIA Desk Germany is holding its annual co-production meeting for producers to exchange of ideas and experience and inform them about international co-productions.

Apple Workshops / Apple Workshop
In diesem Jahr werden in Rahmen der Nordischen Filmtage erstmals Software Workshops in Kooperation mit der Firma Apple angeboten. Schulungen in den Programmen Shake 3.5, Motion, Final Cut Pro HD und DVD Studio Pro 3.0 werden von Jean-Luc Bouchard ( Pro Applications Europe) und Dirk Ellis (Apple Europe) geleitet und finden von Donnerstag, 4.11. bis Samstag, 6.11.2004 in den Media Docks Lübeck statt. For the first time software workshops will offered in cooperation with Apple Europe within the framework of the Nordic Film Days Lübeck. The workshops comprise an introduction to the software programms Shake 3.5, Motion, Final Cut Pro HD and DVD Studio Pro 3.0. The Seminars will be hosted by Jean-Luc Bouchard (Pro Applications Europe) and Dirk Ellis (Apple Europe) and will take place in the Media Docks Lübeck from Thursday, Nov. 4 to Saturday Nov. 6. Location-Tour / Location Tour
Im Rahmen der Nordischen Filmtage bietet die MSH wieder einen Location-Rundgang für interessierte Produzenten, Drehbuchautoren, Motivaufnahmeleiter und Scouts an. Im Mittelpunkt steht in diesem Jahr das Lübecker Rathaus, welches seit über 20 Jahren für diverse Film- und TV-Produktionen als Drehort genutzt wird. Allein im Jahre 2004 haben zwei TV-Serien das historische Rathaus als Hauptmotiv gewählt.

The Schleswig-Holstein Film Commission is again offering a Lübeck Location Tour for interested producers, scriptwriters, production managers and scouts during the festival. This year, the Location Tour will focus on the Lübeck town hall, which has been used for more than 20 years as a location for various film and TV productions, twice alone in 2004.

Mühlenstraße / Mühlenstrasse
Geschäfte der Mühlenstraße werden auch in diesem Jahr ihre Schaufenster anlässlich der Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck besonders dekorieren und damit den Weg zur Spielstätte CineStar Palast Stadthalle weisen.

Shops along Mühlenstrasse leading to the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle will again be decorating their windows with Nordic Film Days motifs.

DanArt / DanArt
Die Ausstellungsreihe "DanArt" des Projekts "Kunst & Wirtschaft" startet weitere sechs Ausstellungen in Lübeck. Nach "Schweden direkt" werden nun Ausstellungen zum Nachbarland Dänemark in Lübecker Unternehmen zu sehen sein. Während der Filmtage ist dänische Kunst bei Colibri, T-Punkt Herrenholz, der KWL-GmbH und dem gelben Ofenhaus in Pansdorf zu sehen.

The exhibition project "Art&Commerce" is starting a series of "DanArt" exhibitions in Lübeck. After "Sweden direct" it will now focus on Danish art. During the festival the exhibitions can be seen at the Lübeck shops and companies Colibri, T-Punkt Herrenholz, KWL-GmbH and Das gelbe Ofenhaus in Pansdorf.

Kalevala-Preisausschreiben / Kalevala Competition
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem finnischen Juwelier Kalevala findet in diesem Jahr ein Preisausschreiben statt. Die Teilnahmekarten liegen im Foyer des CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle und am Infostand aus. Als Gewinne werden ausgewählte Schmuckstücke aus der Kalevala-Kollektion verlost, die während der Filmtage in einer Vitrine im CineStar ausgestellt werden. Valuable prizes can be won again this year in a competition arranged in cooperation with Finnish jewellers Kalevala. You can pick up the questionnaire in the foyer of the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle or at the Info Counter there during the festival. Selected pieces of Kalevala jewellery, which will be on display in the cinema during the Film Days, will be raffled off among the participants with the correct answers.
