Inhalt/ Summary

Seit Annas Schwester bei einem Reitunfall ums Leben kam, darf die 11jährige ihr Pferd Zafir nicht mehr reiten. Ihre Eltern sind seit dem Vorfall besonders ängstlich. Und auch Zafir ist durch mangelnde Zuneigung verstört und temperamentvoll geworden - bis Sharbat in der Reitschule auftaucht. Das Flüchtlingskind gewinnt schnell das Vertrauen des Pferdes. Anna, die diese Annäherung zunächst misstrauisch beobachtet hat, ist glücklich und freundet sich mit Sharbat an. Gemeinsam verfolgen die beiden Kinder von jetzt ab ein heimliches Ziel: Mit Zafir an einem Reitwettbewerb teilzunehmen. Malene Vilstrup, geboren 1965 in Dänemark, begann ihre Karriere als Trickfilmerin. Sie lernte bei Jannik Hastrup und arbeitete in den Trickfilmstudios von Tegnedrengene und Liller Møller. 1994 schloss sie ihr Animationsstudium an der Dänischen Filmhochschule ab und im Jahr 2002 endete ihre Ausbildung als Kunst- und Projektberaterin am Artbizz. Malene Vilstrup hat einige kurze Animationsfilme realisiert. Malene Vilstrup was born in 1965 in Denmark.
