Ein intensiver Dokumentarfilm um verbotene Gefühle, Furcht und Coming-out: Über eine Zeitungsannonce fand Regisseurin Cecilia Neant-Falk drei junge Mädchen, die bereit waren, für dieses außergewöhnliche Projekt vier Jahre lang ein intimes Videotagebuch zu führen. My, Joppe und Natalie dokumentieren ihre Gedanken und Gefühle, interviewen Eltern und Freunde - und halten ihre ersten Liebschaften auf Film fest. Immer geht es dabei um die Frage, wie man als 14-jährige einer „Hetero-Welt zu verstehen gibt, dass man lesbisch ist. „Du wirst schon sehen, es geht vorüber" mutet fast wie eine Realversion des schwedischen Publikumshits „Fucking Åmål" an. Eindringlich schildert die Dokumentation, wie schwierig es noch heute für Jugendliche ist, ihre Sexualität und die Akzeptanz von Mitmenschen in Einklang zu bringen. Die Kamera spielt dabei eine doppelte Rolle: Sie gibt uns nicht nur einen tiefen Einblick in die Gefühlswelt der Protagonistinnen. Sie funktioniert außerdem als alleiniger Ansprechpartner und Trost der Mädchen - und hilft ihnen somit entscheidend beim Coming-out."

An intense documentary about forbidden feelings, fear and coming out. By way of a newspaper ad, director Cecilia Neant-Falk found three young girls who were willing to keep an intimate video diary for four years as part of this extraordinary project. My, Joppe and Natalie document their thoughts and feelings, interview parents and friends, and record their first loves on film. One recurrent theme is the issue of how a 14-year-old can explain to a heterosexual world that she is lesbian. Don't you worry, it will probably pass" is like a reality version of the Swedish box-office hit "Fucking Åmål". The documentary clearly shows how difficult it still is, even today, for young people to balance sexuality and acceptance. The camera has a dual function: it not only gives us a deep insight into the emotions of the three girls, but also acts as their confidant and comfort - and thus helps them in coming out."

Cecilia Neant-Falk, geboren 1971 im schwedischen Karkstad, studierte Film an der Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in Paris sowie Journalistik und Filmwissenschaft an der Universität von Stockholm. 1996 drehte sie ihren Dokumentarfilm „Companions: Tales from the Closet, der mehrere internationale Preise gewann. „Du wirst schon sehen, es geht vorüber" ist ihr zweiter Film."

Documentary filmmaker Cecilia Neant-Falk was born in 1971 and grew up in Karlstad, Sweden. She studied Film at the Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in Paris, as well as Journalism and Film History and Theory at Stockholm University. In 1996 Cecilia Neant-Falk made the documentary Companions: Tales from the Closet", which was awarded several international prizes. "Don't You Worry, It will Probably Pass" is her second film."
