John Salt is 81 years old. In the 1970s, he became known for his photorealist paintings. Now, he is nearing the end of his creative output. As the seasons change in the idyllic landscape around his studio, he paints one last picture – after which the paints and tools in his studio will be packed away forever. The film is a quiet farewell to an artist's life.
