Kurzdokumentarfilme der Young Nordic Film Makers 2019Short documentaries made by the Young Nordic Film Makers 2019

Events, Germany 2019

For the sixth time this year, the project “Young Nordic Filmmakers” provides 20 young participants a chance to develop their own short film projects and to join into an international exchange of ideas. Ahead of the 61st Nordische Filmtage Lübeck, the aspiring young filmmakers learned the basics of filmmaking in workshops, before taking on the responsibility of implementing their independent projects, from concept to finished film. Over one week, the young people worked in small groups to make short documentary films, with a professional filmmaker providing advice and practical help.

The films created as part of the project will be screened during the 61st Nordische Filmtage Lübeck:
Presentation of the short documentaries made by the 2019 YNFM
Sun., Nov. 3, 12 noon, CineStar 1 (admission free)

The second part of the project will see the young people making narrative shorts, and will be held in the spring of 2020 in Tromsø, Norway.

The project is made possible by the European Union subsidy programme Erasmus+ Youth in Action, with the support of the Schleswig-Holstein Student Union, the BJF (German federation of film clubs for children and young people), and the Green Screen Festival in Eckernförde. Presented in cooperation with the international partners Station Next, the film school for young people (Denmark), the Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival (Finland) and the Tvibit skills and cultural centre in Tromsø, Norway.
