In their day-to-day work, actresses and actors experience drama on a scale we can hardly imagine. We see them enlivening the silver screen in their roles, playing seducers, losers, heroes, and villains. Of the people behind the roles, we know but little aside from that which is filtered through the distorted lens of the tabloid media. Their very profession puts them on public display in a unique way. This documentary explores the peculiarities of the profession, and lets the thespians have their say. It offers a look behind the acting façade, which goes up almost automatically when the camera is on. Amidst vanities and narcissism, the film offers an insight into the inner workings of the familiar faces and voices, and reveals the highs and lows of the actor's life off the red carpet.
